Australian Little Athletics Championships - U13 Brisbane 2010
Frankston Little Athletics Centre is pleased to announce the inclusion of 3 of our under 13 athletes in the Victorian State Team that competed in Brisbane on April 24th at the Australian Little Athletics Championships. Selsected were Jasmine Carroll, Brad Cann and Alona Broome. The team of 22 athletes from around Victoria won a swag of medals between them and were successful in bringing the trophy back to Victoria for the 4th consecutive year. Jasmine won the gold medal in javelin, Alona bronze in the triple jump and relay event and placed 5th in the long jump, with Brad placing 4th in discus, 6th in shotput and 9th in javelin. Congratulations also to Harry Prior and Tara Cheyne who made the initial squad.

Congratulations to all the Frankston athletes who competed at State Track & Field Championships at the weekend. A total of 33 medals were won by FLAC athletes (including 9 Gold, 13 Silver & 11 Bronze) which is a magnificant result. To the remaining competitors, what an outstanding achievement for all of you to qualify for the event.

To our Team Manager - Gavin Baumanis and his assistants who stepped in at the last minute to help out - thank you. To all the Mums and Dads who performed their duty, a big thank you from the FLAC Executive on a job well done. A full list of results is now available from the VLAA website. www.vlaa.com.au
